Two weeks and counting

We have only 2 weeks to go before school is out for students, and I'm wondering what to do with this library blog after May 29th. I'm wondering what to do with the Centaur Book Nook padlet, too. I'm wondering how to finish this year in a way that provides the closure we all want. I'm just wondering everything, if I'm honest. And I'm struggling with the need to say "Have a great summer!" and "See you next year in the library!" when I actually won't see you in the library next year as Mann's librarian. You see, I'm retiring this summer, and although I'll certainly visit the Mann library whenever it's open and safe to do so, that's not the same as saying goodbye to all in person in the library now is it? So, instead of figuring all THAT out, I'll just continue on like I've been doing till the 29th, and then we'll see what happens. There now, I feel better...I think. Tomorrow is another day haha.
In the meantime, I'll continue posting, sharing literacy resources and adding smatterings of (what I hope is) fun stuff to both areas of this blog. (Today's Featured Resource is one I'm really excited to share today - Gallaudet's free online ASL lessons! Reminds me of my ECLIPSE classes with PreK and K right before we had to all go home! But we only got through the beginning of the alphabet and 1-10, so I look forward to learning more with any of you who join!) Finally, I'll accelerate the pace of my YouTube video read-alouds, so that we can finish up with George and Martha, The Magic Tree House, and maybe even The Hobbit. (I knew The Hobbit is looong, but I didn't count on it taking this long! I'll keep plugging along, though. Thanks for the encouragement - you know who you are.)
I hope you DO know who you are. And I will always thank you for the encouragement.
